Nose Surgery (Rhinoplasty)

Rhinoplasty is designed to reshape nasal bone and cartilage to create desired shape. Depending on the degree of the complexity, the procedure may be performed from within the nose through small incisions inside the nostrils. A small incision is made across the vertical strip of tissue separating the nostrils to allow access to bone and cartilage underneath.

In more complicated cases rhinoplasty is performed by separating the skin of the nose from bone (and cartilage), and draping the skin back to cover the bone and cartilage after reshaping of the nose is complete. Following rhinoplasty surgery a splint will be put on your nose to help maintain its new shape. Any temporary swelling or pain following the rhinoplasty surgery can be controlled with pain medication as subscribed. Most rhinoplasty patients can resume their normal routine within a few days following the nose surgery, however, full recovery from rhinoplasty will take longer.
