Breastlift Surgery
Factors such as pregnancy and the force of gravity can cause sagging of the breasts to occur over time. Breastlift may be an option when the breasts lose their shape and firmness as the skin loses its elasticity. The effects of breastlift surgery aren't permanent, however it does provide a long-term result. Frequently, breast implants are inserted at the same time in order to deliver a younger and fuller look. Any breast lift patient with small, sagging breasts is a good candidate for breastlift, however, breastlift surgery can be performed on any size breasts. Breast lifts are performed under general anesthesia, so you will sleep through the operation.
Surgical Technique
Breastlift surgery involves an incision following the natural contour of the breast. The incision will outline the area of skin that will be removed. After the excess skin has been removed the nipple will be relocated to a higher area on the breasts. The skin is then pulled down to reshape the breast. Skin will be stitched around the areola and downwards from the nipple as well as along the lower crease of the breast. Incision and subsequent stitching in breastlift procedure will be much less noticeable in case of smaller breasts.
