Liposuction
Liposuction is designed to reduce body fat by surgically removing it. Because fat is a relatively soft substance, it can be removed using suction through a cannula (narrow surgical instruments). The unique softness of our body fat allows it to be selectively reduced without harming the surrounding tissue. Because the cannulas are very narrow, the incisions required for liposuction are only about one centimetre long. The volume of fat removal and resultant change in body shape that can be achieved through these tiny incisions can be very dramatic. |
