Most common reason for performing breast reduction is to relieve symptoms of shoulder and neck pain. Women with a D plus breast size may be uncomfortable because of the heavy weight of their breasts. Traditional breast reduction surgery alleviates these problems by directly removing excess breast tissue. This technique will relieve the symptoms successfully, but scars, possible loss of feeling and healing problems can occur.

Liposuction Breast Reduction

With liposuction breast reduction only the fatty component of the breast tissue is removed in order to reduce the weight of heavy breasts. I perform liposuction breast reduction under general anesthesia using only a single 1 cm. incision on either side! This reduces the scarring to almost zero and because no breast tissue is disturbed during the procedure there is no risk of nerve damage causing numbness.

Following liposuction breast reduction surgery, patients are asked to wear a snug supportive bra to minimize swelling and help the skin to shrink. Majority of patients resume their regular activities within 7 days. The final breast shape and size takes 6 to 8 weeks to stabilize.
